Stop Rain Splash Before It Causes Damp Problems
If you’ve ever noticed dark damp patches, green algae, or dirty staining along the bottom of your outside walls, there’s a good chance rain splashback is the cause. Every time rain hits patios, paving, gravel, or driveways, water bounces back onto the base of your walls. Over time, that constant soaking can lead to damp problems, staining, and surface damage.
SplashGuard was developed specifically to deal with that problem.
Instead of just coating the surface, SplashGuard soaks into porous masonry and creates an invisible water-repellent barrier that helps stop water soaking into the wall while still allowing trapped moisture to escape naturally. That means your walls stay protected without sealing moisture inside.
Built For Real UK Weather
One of the biggest frustrations with exterior treatments is waiting for “perfect dry conditions” that never seem to come. SplashGuard is different.
Its advanced water-based formula can be applied to slightly damp surfaces, making it ideal for wet weather, colder months, and prolonged rainy periods when damp problems usually become worse.
So whether you're treating the base of a rendered wall, protecting brickwork around a patio, or stopping splashback around an extension, SplashGuard is designed to work when you actually need it.
What SplashGuard Helps Protect Against
- Ground-up damp caused by rain splashback
- Dark staining on lower wall areas
- Green algae and organic growth
- Water soaking into porous brick and render
- Moisture damage around patios and paving
- Constant wetting of vulnerable wall bases
Many customers first use SplashGuard after noticing the bottom few courses of brickwork staying wet long after the rain has stopped. Once treated, water beads on the surface instead of soaking in.
Suitable For
SplashGuard works on most exterior porous surfaces including:
Brickwork
Render
Stone
Sandstone & Limestone
Concrete
Base of walls & extensions
It’s especially effective around house perimeters where rainwater repeatedly splashes back against the wall.
Breathable Hydrophobic Protection
Unlike thick sealers or waterproof paints, SplashGuard doesn’t trap moisture inside the wall.
The breathable hydrophobic formula repels liquid water while still allowing moisture vapour to escape naturally. This helps walls dry out properly and reduces the risk of trapped damp behind the surface.
It also dries completely clear, so it won’t change the natural appearance of your brick, stone, or render.
Easy To Apply
SplashGuard is designed to be straightforward and hassle-free.
Simply clean the surface, then apply using a brush or low-pressure sprayer.
- Use 2 coats on porous surfaces such as brick, sandstone, and limestone
- Use 1 coat on denser porous materials such as slate, granite, or engineering brick
- Allow around 12 hours between coats
That’s it — once cured, SplashGuard gets to work helping protect your walls from rain splash and moisture penetration.
Coverage
Coverage depends on the surface porosity, but as a guide:
Up to 12.5m² per 5 litre container (two coats)
