Returns (General)

At Kingfisher, we want you to be happy with your purchase and we inspect everything thoroughly before we send it out. We also carefully package everything to prevent damage. However, if you do wish to return your unopened Kingfisher product, please send it back to us within 28 days of delivery for a full refund (excluding any delivery charges). Colours (excluding white & magnolia) in the Lakes & Fells Collection are made to order and are therefore non-returnable.

Private United Kingdom customers have certain cancellation rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (the Regulations). Kingfisher Building Products Ltd (the Vendor) offers the following returns policy:

1. Returns of unopened products are accepted within 28 days from the date of delivery accompanied by a valid proof of purchase. Customers wishing to exercise this right must:

a) Apply in writing to: Kingfisher Building Products Ltd, Cooper Lane, Bardsea, Ulverston, Cumbria, LA12 9RA. OR

b) Telephone Kingfisher Sales on: 01229 869100 or

c) email to: [email protected]

2. It is a condition of the right to return that customers must arrange (at their own expense) to return the goods in a saleable* condition to the address referred to in (1a) above within 28 days. If the vendor pays the return cost then this will be deducted from any refund (Note: Liquids by their nature are heavy and return carriage costs may be substantial). Goods will only be deemed returned when received safely by the vendor at the said address. Remember to obtain proof of dispatch, as we cannot be held responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit. Products may also be returned in person (at no cost) to the Kingfisher factory shop at: Cooper Lane, Bardsea, Ulverston LA12 9RA with a valid proof of purchase.

3. Pending the return of the goods (within 28 days) they must be stored strictly in accordance with the instructions on the relevant Technical Data Sheet and kept in good condition.

4. Customers shall be entitled to a full refund (less any charges referred to in (2 above) on full compliance with the foregoing.

*Goods must be returned complete, unused and in the same condition as received, together with the original box and packaging in an undamaged and resalable condition.

Cancel My Order

Cancellations can only be accepted by emailing [email protected] If the order has been completed and has been shipped, then you will need to arrange a return. This is easiest by telephone, so please include a daytime telephone number with your email. Your payment method will be credited less any charges referred to in (Returns Section 2. above) once the product(s) arrive safely at our address (1a).

My order has arrived damaged. What do I do?

We try our best to make sure items arrive in good condition. If the courier tries to deliver your items damaged, please either refuse to accept the delivery (they will take it away), or sign for the item as 'damaged'. If you do not have the opportunity to inspect on delivery, you can sign for your item as 'unchecked'.

You must inform us at [email protected] of any such problems within 24 hours so we can rectify the problem.

If you return something due to it being faulty or damaged we refund postage costs up to a maximum of £10. Please contact us if your return costs exceed this amount.

What can't I return?

For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of facemasks, overalls or gloves if the item has been removed/unsealed from its original packaging.

Colours (excluding white & magnolia) in the “Lakes & Fells Collection” are made to order and are therefore non-returnable. This covers the “Weatherflex”, “Thermapaint” and “Classic Emulsion” product ranges.

Due to their perishable nature, we also cannot accept returns of any powder product including but not limited to: Aquatech, Tank-It, Barrier Mortar, Dry Wall Renovating Plaster and Tank Plug. If you have any questions before purchasing any of these items, please call us on 01229 869100.

Note: No refund can be issued until the goods have been received and inspected by us and we are happy that the product has not been opened and/or used.
