The Best Time to Tackle a Floor
Epoxy cures through that reaction between the two parts, and it's fussy about temperature and damp. In cold, wet conditions it cures slowly and can struggle to harden properly. Warm, dry weather helps it cure cleanly, and a slab that has had the summer to dry out gives the coating a better surface to grip.
So if a garage or workshop floor is on your to-do list, the warmer months are the easiest time to get it done over a weekend. If the floor already has a damp problem, sort that out first with the damp floor kit rather than coating straight over it, otherwise the damp will only push back through later.

What is the difference between the floor paint and the clear primer?
The primer goes on first to seal and steady the bare concrete. The coloured floor paint is the tough top coat that gives you the finish and the hard-wearing surface. On a floor that gets a lot of use, you will usually want both: primer first, paint on top.
Can I use epoxy on a damp concrete floor?
Not with a standard coating. If there's damp under the slab it will work its way up and lift a normal epoxy over time. For damp floors, start with the Damp Floor Epoxy Sealer Kit, which is made to seal that moisture out.
How long does epoxy take to cure?
It depends on the temperature: warmer means faster, colder means slower. Check the technical data sheet for the exact product curing process, and in cooler weather give it a bit longer before you walk on it or put it back to use.
