Kingfisher Building Products manufactures Interior Brick & Dust Sealer, a breathable (vapour permeable) surface treatment. It stops the troublesome dusting, typically linked with brick feature walls and decorative interior stone.
Older bricks in particular deposit red dust in their vicinity because heating dries out the clay surface. This encourages fine particles to lose adhesion and detach. Soft stone, cement and lime mortar joints are similarly vulnerable to abrasive dust release. This dust release can scratch furniture, ceramics and timber finishes.
Interior Brick & Dust Sealer offers a practical and lasting solution to the problem. It’s penetrating clear acrylic ester formula helps by binding and sealing porous or friable surfaces. It typically darkens the surface very slightly, often enhancing the substrate colour.

It leaves a natural matt finish. Please note, this is one coat application. if you decide to apply more coats, there is chance the surface will dry darker.
One coat is sufficient to seal and dustproof the surface.
Yes this product is water-based. Therefore it is low odour, free of solvents & VOCs.
For a matt “anti-dusting” finish apply 1 coat by brush, roller or low pressure sprayer (not atomizer) on brick and porous stone or masonry joints. A second coat may be applied for a darker or “semisheen” finish if desired which will also increase protection against liquid staining.
This product stain proofs the wall and prevents dusting. It will allow water vapour transmission for breathability. To prevent moisture travelling through the wall from the outside apply Kingfisher Extreme Climate Next Generation Water Seal or Storm Seal to your exterior surfaces.
This sealer is not designed to colour enhance or alter the colour of stone or brickwork. We recommend testing the product on any surface before applying to the entire surface though.

I have a very old huge lime stone and brick fireplace in my living room. It is no longer used as an open fireplace but is a big feature in the cottage . It was constantly dropping sand and brick dust to the extent I was having to hoover it daily. After using Kingfisher sealant it completely transformed the fireplace, it looks clean and dust free . I am so pleased .

Bought for a feature wall (stone) painted it on with a paint brush and absolutely crapped my pants at first, as when I put it on, as it looked like it had blue runs everywhere . But they completely vanished once dried. I was worried before using that I might get a sheen or it may darken the stone loads but looking at it now, it’s absolutely fantastic, completely mat and most importantly no dust. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for that natural look
