Kingfisher Building Products manufactures Interior Brick & Dust Sealer, a breathable (vapour permeable) surface treatment. It stops the troublesome dusting, typically linked with brick feature walls and decorative interior stone.
Older bricks in particular deposit red dust in their vicinity because heating dries out the clay surface. This encourages fine particles to lose adhesion and detach. Soft stone, cement and lime mortar joints are similarly vulnerable to abrasive dust release. This dust release can scratch furniture, ceramics and timber finishes.
Interior Brick & Dust Sealer offers a practical and lasting solution to the problem. It’s penetrating clear acrylic ester formula helps by binding and sealing porous or friable surfaces. It typically darkens the surface very slightly, often enhancing the substrate colour.

Kingfisher “Interior Brick & Dust Sealer” is a very fi ne particle pure acrylic dispersion (solvent free), formulated to create an excellent penetrating and binding sealer. Being a water based acrylic it is a low odour material, suited to internal applications.
“Interior Brick & Dust Sealer” is designed to stop troublesome “dusting” typically associated with brick feature walls and decorative interior stone. Older bricks commonly deposit red dust in their vicinity because warm interior conditions dry out the clay surface, encouraging fine particles to lose adhesion and detach. These abrasive particles can damage floors, furniture and even computers. Soft stone and cement or lime mortar joints are similarly problematic. “Interior Brick & Stone Sealer” off ers a cost-eff ective and lasting solution to the problem by binding and sealing porous or friable surfaces with its penetrating clear acrylic ester formula.

Most common building materials (brick/ stone/ mortar / block) are mineral based and are therefore ultimately prone to moisture absorption. Fluids once absorbed into mineral substrates often leave particles behind which “stain” the surface. Two coats of “Interior Brick & Dust Sealer” helps to protect against this problem by sealing the surface to limit absorption.
In general it is very important that the surface to be treated is dry and any accumulated contaminants are thoroughly cleansed before application. As with all surface treatments you should apply to a small test area to check for compatibility before proceeding to full application. It is the user’s responsibility to establish suitability for the task in hand.
If the surface to be treated is merely dusty, then vacuum thoroughly until all traces of dust are removed and proceed directly to application. If there is ingrained dirt, wash with clean warm water and only resort to the use of soap detergents if gentle scrubbing with nylon bristle brush and warm water is ineff ective. Allow to dry out before proceeding to application.
For a matt “anti-dusting” finish apply 1 coat by brush, roller or low pressure sprayer (not atomizer) on brick and porous stone or masonry joints. A second coat may be applied for a darker or “semisheen” fi nish if desired which will also increase protection against liquid staining. Ideal for use on:
• Feature brick walls
• Hand-made bricks
• Friable stone walls
• Cement and lime mortar joints,
• Concrete worktops and much more…
Touch dry in 2 hours at 20OC.
Full cure 12 to 24 hours at 20OC
Dependent on the porosity of the surface 1 litre of product should cover approximately 4 to 6 m2 .
• Store indoors in a cool dry place. Shelf life of Kingfi sher “Stone Sealer” is approximately 12 months from date of manufacture.
• DO NOT store at temperatures above 40OC.
• Protect from frost.
• Keep container tightly closed when not in use.
Tools and equipment should be cleaned with warm soap and water immediately after use. DO NOT allow to dry before cleaning.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• In case of contact with eyes & skin rinse the aff ected areas immediately with plenty of water
• Always wear a respirator mask, eye protection and gloves
• Ensure that the area is well ventilated, especially if spraying
• If spraying use only manual pump sprayer with large droplet nozzle. DO NOT MIST

Good product easy to apply. Old wire cut bricks now look very good and no dust

Great product, it was exatly what we needed to dust proof a very old brick wall, and as promised it left a lovely matt finish whilst bringing out the natural colours of the brickwork and lime mortar
