Aquatech lets you do more, with confidence.  Whether you are waterproofing a full basement or damp proofing a hall cupboard, Aquatech has the answer.  Backed by our excellent text resources and friendly technical advisers, get it right first time.

Aquatech belongs to a group of water proofers called Type A” tanking systems which can be applied to the external face of a structure (e.g., as a primary waterproofing layer in a dual system) but are more commonly used internally to create a negative tank.

Common Applications

I. Existing basements in older properties (can be installed without intrusive excavation works).

II. Brick & stone masonry.

III. Half (or partial) basements including garages or barn conversions.

IV. Anywhere external tanking is impractical due to cost or site conditions.

Pros:

• In the most common negative tanking situations, it is often the simplest and cheapest tanking method.

• Contractors can quickly gain skill and confidence installing it, especially where training is supported by an experienced manufacturer rep or other competent person.

• Versatile solution for many different structures and site conditions.

• Ideal as a primary waterproofing layer on new builds where two systems (belt and braces approach) are recommended industry standard.

Cons:

• Preparation protocols need to be followed closely, does not forgive short cuts.

• Does not alleviate water pressure, blocks it.

• Vulnerable to cracking if there is movement in the structure, so may not be suitable for buildings with a history of subsidence.
