Fantastic stuff

Bought for a feature wall (stone) painted it on with a paint brush and absolutely crapped my pants at first, as when I put it on, as it looked like it had blue runs everywhere . But they completely vanished once dried. I was worried before using that I might get a sheen or it may darken the stone loads but looking at it now, it’s absolutely fantastic, completely mat and most importantly no dust. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for that natural look

I bought this for our roofers to renovate lead flashing that had peeling old paint. They found it very easy to apply, not inclined to run, and gave excellent coverage. They applied two coats and the lead now looks like new. They found it to work much better than alternatives they had tried previously. This is an excellent product.

We had continual problems with black mould in our 3-year old house, especially in the bathroom and bedrooms. I tried cleaning it off with mould remover several times but it always came back after three or four weeks. Last October I painted the bathroom with Thermopaint . By Christmas no mould had reappeared so I painted the bedrooms as well. Since then the problem has been completely cured and we have been mould-free throughout the Winter and Spring. Not only that, but the finish is much denser and warmer looking than the original Dulux trade matt emulsion that the builders used. It’s pricey, and I found that it went on best using a brush rather than a roller and since the paint is quite thick so it’s not the quickest to apply, but the results are so good that I will eventually do the whole house, even where mould isn’t a problem. All in all a brilliant product.

GOOD QUALITY PAINT

I wanted a good quality paint to cover the pebbledash, and this paint is a very good quality. VERY THICK, needs lots of stirring before application. I watered it down for the first coat and it worked fine in my paint sprayer. I painted with a brush for the second coat. The peddle dash needed lots of paint when applying with the brush, it clung to the walls where brush first touched, then needed lots of brushing in to spread the paint. Unfortunately, (I think) this resulted in the wall being patchy. In hindsight, I would have just spray painted a few layers onto the pebble dash. I would have used a lot less paint. Would I recommend this paint? ABSOLUTELY. I chose Soft Taupe and I love the colour. Now to order 2 more 10l tubs, that would be 9 in total.

This paint is exactly what I required. It was easy to paint my exterior walls of my house. I under orered at first but the web site was easy to order more. The colour, River Pearl was a total match each time. The finish it achieved was a brilliant one. I would recommend this paint for anyone with rendered walls with small cracks and with a need to cover blemishes. All in all a good experience with Kingfisher, who supplied a fabulous paint

Dusty concrete floor

Newly built garage floor was extremely dusty and sweeping up made no difference. After hooverin off the loose dust one coat of this fixed the problem. Does what it says, easy to apply and completely effective..

Its that time of the year again to think about repainting our fence and have once again chosen the oil based wood stain K-X10 in teak, I have used this product previously and really happy with the way it brushes onto the wood with excellent coverage. The colour enhances the wood grain and gives great protection. Water just sits on the wood as droplets. Would buy this product again for any future fence painting.

Limestone Conversion

Used this after damp circles appeared on the plaster on west facing wall, always after heavy rain and wind. It seems to have stopped the problem, and the stone is still the same colour. Very easy to use.

Our bathroom gets very damp which is a breeding ground for mould even with a fan going I have used all the mould remover sprays and yes they do cure the problem but three to four weeks later I start to see it returning I used the mould cure and I can honestly say in my opinion that it is one of the best products I have tried it’s 4 weeks since I applied it and there is no sign of it returning so far

Quite impressed. I'm a builder and needed it for an old box gutter that was past it best and leaking. I only had a chance to put one coat on due to the less than optimal weather conditions, but it has done the trick. The colour once cured is not too dissimilar to new lead and fairly unobtrusive. I would definitely recommend, even if a little steep on price. Well worth giving it a go.

We applied this on the recommendation of a friend, and what a difference it has made. This product is excellent and repels water better than anything else that I have seen on the market. This product also retains the integrity of the stone without any discolouration. Would highly recommend.

Finishing Touch

Our roofer re-coated our tiles with the Kingfisher roof coating in Terracotta colour which looks amazing, but the leadwork which we had never really noticed before, suddenly looked very tatty. He persuaded us to try the lead renovation paint and that made a huge difference, really finished the job but I've delayed this review for a few months because I wasn't 100% convinced that it would last, but I can report it still looks good.

Just bought our 3rd lot of thermal anti mould paint and once again highly delighted. Other reviews say paint is expensive, you get what you pay for. We live in an old stone cottage which can be prone to damp but since using this paint we had no damp issues. Worth every penny and very quick delivery. Would highly recommend .

A decent product

I could not find any tradseman to re-roof a Fbre-Asbestos barn roof so decided to try Kingfishers treatment and am very pleased with the results. After killiing and stripping off the dense moss I used the sealer/primer that transforms the rough surface into smooth ready for the two coats of polymer paint. As the paint is water soluble brushes etc, are cleaned easily. I was not so keen on the parabond clear crack filler supplied and much preferred Sikalex EBT grey sealant as it spreadand filled the cracks much better.

I have very tatty corrugated asbestos cement roof on a woodshed. This was becoming porous and water was seeping through. After dealing with the moss etc I applied two coats of the sealer with a garden sprayer. It has done a great job. Still a scruffy old roof, but now it keeps the rain out. Very happy with the results.

Made a new roof of it!

Delighted with the paint and primer. Our corrugated asbestos roof (part of our house) we realised was almost 50 years old, and had been leaking badly for some time; our local builder chose his times carefully to apply the primer and two layers of paint when the roof was dry, and found it easy to apply; it has done the job beautifully! Very grateful to Kingfisher for these excellent products.

Good Stuff

I had the blackest mould growing in my Bedroom so thought I would give this a try. So it has a good consistency and the mould spray that came with it got rid of the mould and I have given it 3 coats of paint and have now repainted my bedroom and it has all gone. First-class stuff would recommend

An excellent product

Super paint to use on our victorian terrace. Gives good coverage and fills in all those little holes and bumps that an old house has. It has certainly given the back of the house an extra protective layer to deal with the winters ahead. The river Pearl colour is not as bright as a full white, therefore it doesn't glare as much when the sun comes round.

You get what you pay for.

It's pricey when you add it all up, but you really do get what you pay for. We painted the whole house (get testers) and every crack, leak and bit of damp has disappeared! The cracked render was letting water through running and ruining the kitchen window surround. So after new windows and a lot of research, I bought this masonry paint. With all this horrendous rain we've been having, the paint has stood the test with flying colours! Not one drop of rain has made its way in... So happy!

Kingfisher saved my roof

I have a large garage at the back of my terraced house. It has asbestos sheeting as the roof material. This had seen better days and I got quoted large amounts of money to remove it. Then I came along the Kingfisher products and they have transformed my roof. It is now in a good condition and I won’t need to replace the panels. The service from Kingfisher was great. Fast delivery, reasonably priced for high quality specialist products. Need to buy more from them as now I’m going to go the inside of the garage roof

Excellent product

This is the fourth masonry paint I have purchased from Kingfisher. They have all been excellent. Easy to apply, great to be able to wash brushes in water and, so far, very durable. The first was put onto a breeze block stable about 4 year ago. Some slight staining in places but no flaking, cracking or peeling, in spite of the harsh North Yorkshire weather.

Have used previous products on our concrete printed drive. Although not intended for use on this type of drive I have found it excellent for recolouring a faded dive. I purchased this product to get a darker colour and its worked very well indeed. Really pleased with result.

I have used this product in black and grey on tanalized treated wood as oil based is recommended. Being in the building trade for 45 years this product is brilliant for home use.

Thermapaint anti mould

Really thick paint, I've never used anything like it before and found it really clogged the roller and the brush, I was painting as taught by my old dad many years ago, cut in and then fill in, my advice would be to do all of the cutting in first and then go hell for leather with the roller and keep a spare of each on hand because you will need to swap out at some point, really good coverage and dries quickly, because of the consistency of the paint it didn't leave brush or roller marks so if you're feeling really brave just go with a brush as I was later advised by customer services, sadly the colour is not quite what I wanted and I've been advised that I cant paint over with standard emulsion as this will negate the thermal properties of the beads so I'll live with it for now, I will update this review sometime in the spring and if it performs as expected I will buy a different colour.

I used Fibreseal, in black, on the concrete roof of a bomb shelter from WW2 that over the years, regardless of various 'miracle' solutions, has leaked like a sieve. It has been over 12 months since I sealed the roof and there has been no water ingress at all. It was not too easy to apply due to the thickness of the product but once in place it has finally solved the massive leak problem. I recommend Fibreseal unreservedly.

Beats kiln dried sand

Pros: Better at stopping weeds than kiln dried sand with weed suppressant. Cons: More expensive and application time consuming. Found best way to avoid block staining was after sweeping to water the joints with a mini watering can then allow compound to dry and then jet wash blocks with a soft/medium jet wash setting. Initially followed the instructions and watered with a fine hose setting but the compound ran out of the joints and stained the blocks. Recommend try on a small area first and leave to dry to check block staining is OK.

I used this paint on some lead flashings that had previously been painted black but were peeling and very unsightly. The product adhered well to the flashing and after two coats they looked as good as new.

Roof looks like new

My old garage roof was getting old and tired and used to leak during prolonged periods of heavy rain as I suspect the corrugated asbestos was getting porous. Tried to get some quotes for cleaning/coating but no one would touch it. Found this kingfisher kit and thought I would give it a go my self. I washed the roof and brushed away the large accumulation of debris then applied the biocide wash with a garden sprayer and left for 1 week as per the instructions. Next came the washing/scraping and brushing which is hard work and also messy. The following day I applied the primer which is very easy as it's like a watery PVA and very easy and quick to apply. After the primer dries the surface has a harder almost glassy feel to it rather than the crumbly flaky surface it had. The dove grey coating I chose goes on fairly easily with A4 inch brush with the consistency of emulsion. The following day I applied the 2nd and final coat and the roof now looks brand new and have got the neighbours all asking what I've had done. The kit contains enough materials for a standard UK corrugated roof but just be prepared for long hard work but the results are worth it. Just need some torrential rain now to see if it works as good as it looks.

Fantastic For Decking

Can't compliment this stain highly enough. The first coat lasted three years and didn't look that bad after four! Just recoated - was easy to apply and looks fantastic. It also has a great non-slip effect when wet which helps with paddling pools etc. No need to add sand etc. The stain also keeps it colour and is true to slate grey,

Advised by my builder to use

our builder advised us to use this as an extra layer of protection on our old house with lime mortar pointing. We are doing most of the work ourselves so want it to be as cost effective and efficient as possible. I can't comment on how it works as we have only just finished applying it though.

Ordered on line fast delivery. I needed a breathable stabilizer as I was applying this to a 450 year old house exterior. I found product easy to apply with good coverage I used a 5 inch brush as surface very uneven. Product sealed all the surface very well . Then proceed to paint following day nice job done the customer was very pleased

Good so far

Purchased on a recommendation from a friend that has used this in the past, so far we have coated x4 picnic tables and an 8mt x 5mt Pergola all look absolutely fantastic. Very easy to apply and the 2nd coat really gives a lovely finish. Used about 8Lt so far and will be ordering more.

Our lead flashing was a disgrace, discoloured and tatty. Expensive to have it replaced so purchased this for a fraction of the cost to see how it faired. It gave total coverage in one coat, the lead looks brand new again and we are very pleased. Bought the Matt grey colour to keep the look of usual lead flashing. Needed it next day whilst the painter was around and it arrived within 24 hours. Great service from Kingfisher and highly recommend this product.

After storm damage

I am very pleased with the results after using Kingfisher Weatherflex paint on a side wall that let rain water pour down an old chimney breast. The paint has filed the hairline cracks and as it has rained heavily since seems to have made the wall completely water proof. The sales and technical staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Very pleased all round thanks.

Anti-Mould Paint

Our house is over 200 years old so the damp can be quite bad and we never seemed to stop painting. Four years ago we painted every room with Kingfisher anti-mould paint and have not painted since. There are some damp patches surfacing now but the paint has lasted well. We are now refreshing the rooms with the same colours as there are some slight damp patches surfacing but it has lasted very well all things considered. The colours to choose from are complimentary to each other and a great selection. Easy to go on and not too powerful odour.

My walls that would normally be black with mould this time of year are still mould free after using this last summer. I will be biulk buying it and redecorating my entire flat this summer. I even put it in gloss paint and no more mould on the skirting. I still get a bit around the window frame edges but I can’t recommend this product enough . Wish I’d known about it years ago would of saved a fortune from having to repaint literally every year. Best part is you can use it in any colour paint . I never used ready made anti mould paint from the lack of colour choices . I can’t believe my walls are mould free for the first time in 24 years .

Bought this product as I'm fed up with buying other supposed anti mould treatments, wasn't too impressive at 1st as there appears to be no chemical smell, but 2 days later the affected area was significantly mould reduced, a week later gone.

Brilliant

I have bought this product before and it's brilliant. Over a year later no return of black mould in my lounge, despite local council doing work to rectify this persistent problem, I've found that a coat or two of this product keeps it at bay. Price is a tad more expensive than common paints from DIY stores but superior quality is pricey and I don't mind shelling out for peace of mind.

Had serious levels of penetrating damp through Victorian brick walls.......applied Stormseal as per instructions and so far weeks later and after heavy rains/storms etc. all areas dry where water was getting through before First Class and worth the money

Stain Blocked

Had problems with damp patch appearing in wet weather and took Kingfisher's advice to remove the plaster (turned out someone had previously tried!) Sealed the exposed brick and cement with this paint, then plastered with the Limelite plaster. Early days but seems to have worked.

Really good anti mould paint

Painted the front bedroom the paint goes on very nicely but I will need some more as the room is quite big and the ceiling needs to be done too. The texture of the paint is pretty good and brilliant white is the perfect colour.

Algae removal on sandstone

Bought this to sort out a bright green algae that had started spreading in patches across an external sandstone wall. Generous single application, mixed as instructed. All sorted. All green growth gone within a week.

Did what it promised

I bought it to prevent dampness and water ingress at the base of my concrete prefab garage and through some cracks in the sections, I cemented the base with a fillet and cracks as recommended and we've had lots of rain since and my garage floor has stayed bone dry, extremely pleased with the product, although would be better if it could be bought in smaller tubs as i have barely used any of the paint and did two coats

Bought two litres to cover our new slate tiles laid in our dining room, was looking for something which would seal but keep the original slate look without any shine and this product definitely did the job. Obviously slate is not very porous and the sealer went much further than stated. Gave it two coats and only just started to use the second container, room 3mx3m. Highly recommend

Quikpoint nails it

We were behind schedule with our self-build and the pointing was something both we and our builder were dreading. So we bought the Quickpoint gun and some heritage lime mortar in hopes of moving the job along. What a difference! Two of us were covering large areas in no time, one feeding the mortar with the gun and the other striking and trowel finishing. Fully loaded the gun gets heavy when you've been working for a while but dread to think how long it would have taken the old way...

Great paint, ignore web colour

The paint is great and gave a good finish on my bathroom walls and ceiling. It's been up about 6 months now and no mould has reappeared yet. However, when choosing a colour, the colours on the website are nothing like the actual paint colour. In the end I ordered around 10 sample pots, all of which were very different from the colours on the website. One was so far off I thought I'd been sent the wrong one, which when I sent a photo in to customer service they agreed, but the new pot that was sent was exactly the same colour! I chose a colour I liked using the sample pots and am happy with my choice, but I ended up buying a lot more sample pots than I had intended because of the dramatic differences in actual colours to the website colours. I've still given it 5 stars because the paint itself is good.

Weatherflex paint is the best

We live in a very exposed part of Cumbria at 1100 feet high with no protection from the prevailing wet weather. We used to use Santex paint but found our house needed repainting after just 4- 5 years. We first used Kingfisher Weatherflex Smooth Premium 10 years ago. This was over twice as long as the previous paint. We were pleasantly surprised by the much larger range of colours now available. We chose High Fells Grass with a black contrast and it has transformed our property. It is reassuring that we know we will get at least 10 years out of the paint again.

Most Amazing product I’ve used

Absolutely Amazing product it has transformed the exterior of our house. Our house before was so unsightly uneven surfaces, cracks and looked so rough, we had no idea what to do with it, we was going to get the whole house re rendered but decided to try this product first as reviews were good, it’s made our house look a million dollars and you would never know it looked so bad before! A must have if your exterior walls are really uneven and unsightly you won’t regret buying this! Well done and thank you for making such a wicked product! Would give more than 5 stars if could!

Used 1 coat of smooth wirh a coat of textured Weatherflex over it to match the gable end render on a house built in 1902. Easy to apply, great end result and nice to know it won't need doing again for some while. Herdwick Fleece looks very sharp. Thanks to Leon for his patience and advice. Will definitely use Kingfusher products in future.

I bought this to update my brindle block paving having previously used restore a drive from Kingfisher. All I can say is WOW ! This exceeded all my expectations two coats and is transformed my dated drive. Looks so fresh and modern.100% recommend

Helpful staff

Very helpful staff, took the time to understand what I needed the paint for (a damp under stairs cupboard). It was easy to apply and so far seems to have resolved the issue but longer term we will have to wait and see.

Extension floor

Used this as a precautionary DPM over an existing concrete floor where we were converting a garage. Worked well and saved us having to tear up the concrete to lay in a plastic DPM.

Damp Garage Wall

Kingfisher advised I try this on the inside of my garage. My neighbour's garden backs onto the long side and we always get damp coming through after heavy rain. The Dampguard paint seems to have sorted it and they gave me some other hints including a mortar to fill a crack along the floor where it meets the wall.

Brilliant stuff!

It was going to cost nearly £2000 to remove a single garage asbestos roof and replace it. Did a bit of research and came here after watching YouTube videos of the product. Cleaned the roof of moss and then sprayed twice with the anti-moss bio wash, a coat of hardner and then two coats of stoker grey. Has transformed the roof from a leaky mess to a solid and waterproof masterpiece! It's quite a tough job to do, especially the cleaning! Applying the hardner and paint is fairly easy. The tub goes a long way and I have a fair bit left over on a 3m x 6m roof. What would really top it off would be rubber covers for the roof fixings, my ones were hammered in and had rubber spacers that were hard and brittle, I couldn't remove them so covered them in smoothed out Parabond and let it go off before painting.

Having used various Kingfisher products (masonry paint, asbestos sealer) with good results over 9 years for a shed near the sea at Dungeness - thought I should say something about the Fibreseal roof repair. I bought a tin in 2015 just in case. Fast forward 7 years to December 2022 - got a leak in my felt flat roof. It's 5 degrees c outside, wind chill is 1 degree. A bit damp too but things will get worse. I ask myself - will this stuff work? It's been on my shelf for 7 years. Label says - can be applied at 5 degrees c. Got on the roof, stirred it, painted it into cracks in the seams. Went on very smoothly. Come the rain - that problem is now fixed. I've just ordered more tins and the scrim tape just in case for next year when I might do the whole roof. I have confidence in these products based on what I've seen so far.

Really good service

Title sums it up really! The company have been really helpful and the product itself, the heritage colour pointing mortar, is excellent. Much better value for money than any other competitor when it comes to shipping for small quantities of their products as well.

Great result

We had our roof replaced and new tiles etc. There were a couple of areas where the old lead couldn’t be replaced as windows on Dorma would have to be removed. We ordered this product and now the Lead looks like new. I tried on a spare piece of lead, left it out in the sun and constantly bent and straightened the lead, it didn’t crack at any point. Really pleased.

Wash Bay Floor

Used kingfisher for exterior paint so thought we’d try their epoxy floor paint to refurb the floor in our van wash bay. It was surprisingly easy to apply and we got a bit of help from their technical so knew what we were doing. Would recommend/ use again. Make sure you mix per the instructions.

We purchased 6 of these for our showroom area and applied them over a weekend. Dried quickly and the dark grey really sets off our stock but most of all it is tough - pallet trolley wheels barely mark it!

I used the walnut stain for lettering and outlines for a large name plate for a boat our charity owns. It was great to use. It didn't bleed into the grain, had a lovely consistency and colour. I only needed 2 coats before I varnished over the top. Would highly recommend not only the product but the company as their staff are extremely helpful.

Exactly what you expect

Good quality paint, we just used one coat on a concrete block garden wall, and 2 coats around the windows on our house and it is crisp and covers well.

Easy to apply. Enhances appearance of both brick fireplace and stone fireplace and hearth. Nonflammable. Looks good. Plenty to give more coats. More coats seem to only improve the finish. I am delighted with it. Brush application, worth wearing a face mask, just to be extra cautious. Dries matt but you hardly notice it once dry.

Enhances the natural brickwork

Easy to apply and really brings out the deep brick colours. My one concern is that I needed to a fraction of the minimum available quantity. I have no idea whether I will ever use the rest of the product.

Perfect for Stone or Brick

Fantastic stuff works on stone and brick work and doesn’t make it look shiny or waxy like cheaper products. The application is easy to brush on and dries fully within 24hrs No blistering with a multi fuel stove on the chimney breast. Highly recommended.

Sealed the bricks

It does exactly what it said, stop the dust on the bricks and from crumbling, looks good.

Simply, it works...

We have 2 open chimney chambers with exposed brick. The solution has reduced the amount of loose debris/dust falling off the brick and mortar almost completely, after 2 applications, whilst still maintaining that "rustic:" look. May even apply a 3rd coat to seal it completely.

Stops brick dust instantly

Used on Rustic Bricks and Lime Mortar indoors...stopped the dust almost instantly. Put a second coat for good measure and wouldn’t know the bricks have been treated twice. No smell and easy to clean any spills, although used a brush - would try using a spray next time. Would definitely recommend product and supplier.

Great Job!!

Exposed the brickwork on my living room chimney breast. This sealed everything nicely in one / two coats and created a good final natural looking surface. I would use this again if i was doing a similar job again (which i won't because it was a lot more work than I anticipated! - glad it's done now though and glad I had this to finish it off with). Looks great.

Makes everything rock solid

I firstly was brushing this on crumbling brick and mortar in my loft, this was not really working as it all was crumbling. Bought a little sprayer, bricks, and mortar now solid as a rock, fantastic product.

Wood Preserver Golden Chestnut

Last autumn I ordered a timber field shelter/ stable and asked the manufacturer to give it two coats In Golden Chestnut prior to delivery. As it arrived on a flatbed truck fully knocked down, I expected to have some touching up to do. I needn't have worried - it was durable enough to withstand transport abrasion without any remedial painting and after a long Scottish winter it looks as good as it did the day we finished assembling it!!

Good quality paint

Okay, so I didn't actually buy this paint, it was the client's choice. I hadn't used Kingfisher emulsion before (think they are more known for masonry paint??) but I am pleasantly surprised by how it flows, the coverage and depth of colour. Website seems to show a good range of colours.

Delivery was free and arrived on time. I liked the idea of the Lakeland colours working together so I blended snowdrop for the ceiling with wild sage on the walls, which has turned out beautifully. It is slightly thicker than most emulsions I've used previously which made it satisfying to apply, especially on tricky edges around the window frames. Will definitely use again.

Willow bud is perfect

Absolutely love this colour! We ordered a range of testers to try and did not necessarily expect "Willow Bud" to be the frontrunner but it is a subtle, sophisticated green which complements this bright, south facing room perfectly. Decorator is impressed with the coverage too!

Sealed porous lintels and sill

My house has mock stone lintels and sills that the rain would soak through like a sponge. This stuff did the trick for me. I applied it liberally with a brush. The lintels just sucked it up and it did the trick.

brilliant stuff

One of our bedrooms used to get terrible black mould on the walls. I bought some of this paint additive and used it when decorating the room and it solved our mould problem. That was 10 years ago! And no black mould stains since then on our white walls. Now back to buy some more for another problem area in the house. would definitely recommend this product.

Tried for many years to seal my leaking concrete garage roof with various bitumen based products. Always short lived and never 100% effective. Then discovered Kingfisher Fibreseal. Absolutely brilliant. Took time to apply properly but the results are amazing and been nearly a year now without a leak. Just about to apply a second coat just to be certain over the winter. Have applied to my son's roof with same excellent results. Fully recommended.

Used in most rooms

Over the past year I have painted almost my entire house with this paint. I am very happy with how it works. I have a old granite cottage in the highlands of Scotland. There has been a massive improvement with condensation and mould. My walls feel warmer to the touch and the bathroom walls are dryer after the shower has been used. Most of the colours are not to my taste but I have used the white a mid grey and the beige which I would say has a nice grey undertone. I have also painted the exterior render of my home with the similar external thermal paint. This has brilliant coverage and looks great with just one coat. I would hand on heart recommend the paints I have used. So with new windows and doors better heating system and all this painting, my little corner of Scotland will fingers crossed be a much warmer one.

2500 gal Koi pond

Just finished my second coat on my new build pond. Its 11 ft x7 ft by 4 foot deep one 5lt tin per coat just gave a decent covering of my rendered walls. 18 degrees and overcast today first coat was touch dry in 4 hours. second coat went on much easier. Looks good with nice even covering (black) can't comment on the reliability yet but will add to this review in 6 months time.

Monday 8.30 am spoke with sales and ordered 2 cans Brindle and 1 can Anthracite which arrived 11.15 am Tuesday. Both colours applied by 1100 am Wednesday. refurbished patio

I had never used this product before I carried out work to refurbish a customers patio. The results were more than I expected, there was a mixture of new and old patio slabs and K-Seal provided a uniform final finish to them all. The key is in the preparation, ensure you follow the manufacturers guidelines for the best finish.

excellent roof coating

I have used this product on 10 houses now including my own, my customers have been very satisfied with the end results to their houses. Colour consistency is excellent and the workability of the product is also very good. Follow the manufacturers instructions and you cannot go wrong.

Excellent Product

This is an excellent and effective product. We had partially removed the paint and plaster from a large brick wall in our kitchen. The sealer worked equally well on the bricks, mortar and remnants of the paint and plaster. It was very easy to fill the crevices in the mortar with a larger amount of sealer. After applying two coats (though one would probably have been sufficient), there is no sign of any dust. The sealer leaves a visually pleasing matt finish which positively accentuates the different colours and hues of the bricks and other materials.

A Great Product

We have an extension which the pitch is right on the limit of low side. After 15 years we started to get slight water ingress due to capillary action. I spoke to the sales team and DIY coated the roof myself, I thought I would wait until after some bad weather to write a review and so here it is. This stuff is absolutely fantastic and solved the problem, I was dreading having to replace the whole roof with a low pitch metal tile system so this has been a real revelation. I highly recommend this but if you use it don't rush the job and follow all the instructions. The sales team are so helpful in trying to help their customers solve problems and not just trying to sell something unlike other companies.

1st class roof coating

I have applied this to several houses now and the results are simply stunning. My clients have been over the moon regarding the finished product after application. Application by brush on all roofs achieved the results expected and beyond, (brushing does take longer but it wasn't that difficult a chore). Although a little pricey you get what you pay for, highly recommended.

tiled roof moss removal

Easy to use guidance notes on mixing ratios and application. This was applied to a tiled roof that had a well established carpet of moss over a significant area of the roof, you could see the difference after 7 days prior to washing.

Nice thick paint which is highly opaque. Very quick delivery. Had a slight problem with the colour which was not exactly as I had expected, so would advise to try a tester pot (as they recommend). However, Lee was extremely helpful and we sorted the colour issue out. Would definitely use again and would highly recommend.

Block Paving Restorer - WOW

In the 10 years we've been in our house... the block paving has just been there... nothing special and looking a bit tired. The previous owner was a builder so it would have had lots of wear and tear from trucks, vans and trailers...... Kingfisher Restorer drive has given it a new lease of life..... looks better than it has ever done. The colours (I used brindle and anthracite) look so natural, just like when the blocks were new... (or even better) Very easy product to use and the impact is amazing.... Don't spend a fortune on a new driveway.... give your old one a new lease of life....... I have an internal exposed brick feature wall running up the stair case in the house, we loved it but you could constantly hear the mortar grains landing on our oak staircase and having kids anytime they brushed it with their hands it was like a sand storm! I purchased this product to hopefully assist. I started to apply and I wasn’t sure about it at first as it left a white wax like appearance to the Surface as I started to apply. As I progressed I noticed that this wax appearance disappears As the product soaked in. 2 coats later we are left with our lovely Brick wall And not one grain falls off, the kids can try as hard as they like but it is completely sealed and left with a very slight sheen finish. Bottom line this stuff is amazing and does exactly what they said it would!

What a product! We used it to paint external wall (brick wall) and also on concrete. We used the Kingfisher sealer first as recommended and I would strongly recommend to use the sealer first, it will create a nice coat and you will use less paint. We used brilliant white smooth paint. Application was very easy with roller and brush. Paint is very thick, super easy application and lovely finish. We had a bit of rain and wall got a bit dirty from soil that was splashed at the bottom but all it took was a bit of clean water and it is all like new. Let's hope for long lasting effect.

Wall in my bathroom was black with mould I used bleach to clean it and a light sand with a sanding pole I added the kingfisher additive to my white paint and o my god 2.6years later I still haven’t seen and black mould on that wall I’ve come over 2 years later here I am buying more of this stuff on a recent property my brother has moved into

I loved the fact that it was delivered with no unnecessary packaging and the choice of colours in this range is amazing. We used the pre-treatment on the areas with old render on as well as the plain brick and it really seemed to help. Brilliant coverage, we shall see how it stands up to the copious amount of rain we have in wales but so far so good, looks brilliant!

Fantastic stuff

This stuff is amazing. It sets hard unlike the kiln dried sand you get and forms a tight seal against weeds and in our case ants. Tightens everything up and looks the business. Leaves a bit of a residue but imagine that will wash away after a while. Highly recommend this over kiln dried sand which washes out easily.

Fell Stone smooth masonary

Best masonary paint i have ever used. Coverage is excellant and my walls were very weather beaten! Should've gone for the darker shade as it looks more like goose feather when applied but as i didn't send for a tester that's my fault really.

Good wood preserver

Quick delivery,, especially in the current conditions. The preserver is a good colour, and I would think it will do the trick as a preservative - only time will tell. A good price. Easy to use (although I did struggle a bit opening - needed to use to screwdrivers to leaver the spout up as I couldn't manage to pull it out. Fine after that)..

K Seal

Arrived spot on time. The sealant spread further than you imagine and has produced an excellent finish. The patio has gone a little darker, but it actually now has a much better finish. Delighted with the result.

Fantastic paint

Fighting mould

We used to have a problem with mould particularly around the windows in several rooms. I’ve used Kingfishers mould preventer followed by paint with this additive. So far all has worked well.

Does the job very well, but it can be hard to tell where you have and haven't put the sealer. If you get the brush all frothy it does leave a whitish bloom on the face of the bricks.

The sealer arrived VERY promptly and well packaged. We used it to seal a random stone wall in the house (an old Welsh farmhouse). The sealer went on easily by brush, virtually no odour, 2 litres covered 8 square metres of mixed stone and lime mortar (variable porosity). The surface appearance is virtually unchanged and the surface doesn't dust on contact. We only applied the sealer 2 weeks ago, so can't comment on durability but so far so good - much better than watered down PVA or varnish which both spoil the appearance and look artificial.

Had an issue in the supply chain (delivery). I must stress this was not the fault of Kingfisher but the delivery service. Kingfisher immediately took ownership and promptly got another delivery out. That was delivered the next working day. As far as the product goes, I’ll update when I have used it. Optimistically hopeful and confident it will be successful.

Perfect in all ways

Exposed a 200 year old chimney breast, clay hand made bricks with lime mortar, great feature but very dusty, applied two coats and now have a stunning feature. Very easy to use and the result is just great. only down side is only available in 5ltr, 2.5 ltr. would have been adequate and no waste.

painted in summer but now winter is here yes i have noticed a slight change in heat not escaping and walls not being as cold to the touch and noticed when drying close the walls arent soaked in condensation, i padded this on 1 coat and then painted over in colour normal matt with normal 1 coat

Fabulous

This product was recommended by my local hardware shop and it is fabulous. We had a clay brick fireplace installed last year and it flaked and spread dust constantly because of the dry heat all over the hearth, very annoying. We asked all the major DIY shops and nothing from them, then Kingfisher was recommended, we checked the site and decided on interior brick and dust sealer having read everything about it. We brushed it all down and prepared it ready then brushed on the product a long winded job but 2 days later brilliant no dust, no flaking as the product coats the bricks with a film that you can only describe as a layer of skin, I then applied a second coat which was a lot quicker, the fireplace itself looks fantastic and no dust, all we need to do now is have a fire ( when the weather gets cold enough ) to see if the bricks perform as well as hope they will. If anyone reads this I hope it helps you decide on this product as we are very pleased and our fireplace looks great.

It has made a difference

Well winter is nearly here i brought this in summer pure white and padded it on my house is a old style so the walls have no insulation it goes patchy i only used 1 coat, well the walls would get damp from condensation but i noticed this stopped, Well i could not write a review in august as it was still summer.,, well now the nights are cold outside is 9 degrees my heating hasnt been turned on yet and indoors its 21.9 degrees, I am shocked as last year it was indoors like 12 degrees and my heasting didnt work, of course any holes you might have patch up 1st before painting and check windows and doors are sealed, i can say this was worth the money ... i have painted over this with normal matt paint in colour 1 coat was fine I am sorry this is a essay i have been waiting so long to see if it worked or i was conned , it does make a difference i will recommend this maybe i should of done 2 coats but im not that rich i covered the walls and ceiling all rooms, so i spent alot of money on this paint but was worth it

Concrete Grey - Too pale

Unfortunately as I have found with most grey masonry paints they are lighter than expected, this one had a bluey tinge too. But on a plus note service and delivery from Kingfisher was great, the colour just wasn't what I was looking for.

Quite time consuming to apply everything and I was a bit worried that it said not to apply if rain expected in 24hrs - not possible in scotland so it did get rained on while drying. However, results have been excellent - we've had torrential rain since and not a drip in the garage - fantastic!

Exceeds expectations

I bought the anti-mould thermapaint in August 2018 after having problems with mould on the walls behind hanging clothes. I painted it on the two external walls but not the internal walls of the bedroom. Not only was the bedroom noticeably warmer this winter, there were absolutely no signs of mould. Throughout the winter, the two painted walls were noticeably warmer to the touch than the other two, even though those were the ones most exposed to the cold from outside. So impressed that I'm now painting three more rooms.

I have used clear preserver on the base on the floor boards for my new log cabin. The clear paint is very thin and brushed beautifully over the wood. Now the cabin is built and treated outside I will treat all of the internal walls with the clear preserver. Will treat myself and spray it now, instead of brushing :-)

Great product. Tear down old plaster, remove any stuck or proud plaster bits with a scraper, soak wall with a sponge and warm water, use steel wool to clean the bricks followed by sponge, allow to dry, apply 2 coats of Kingfischer. Done.

Annual Seal

After trying various other, more expensive, products I has K-seal recommended by a colleague a few years ago. Since first trying it I have applied it to about 100m2 of sandstone patio each year. The finish is excellent and the subsequent annual power wash so much easier.

Used on an old red brick terraced house to create a bare brick feature wall in the kitchen. Easy to apply and stopped all dusting in one coat but gave it another for good measure. Very pleased with the result. Did not really affect finished colour and gave a lovely matt finish.

Great stuff

I work in the damp industry and go to lots of jobs that have been wrongly diagnosed as having damp. If you have black mould in corners of walls/ ceilings or behind bed, sofa, wardrobes etc then this stuff is ideal. Don't confuse it with inferior condensation paints from DIY stores. We save customers a fortune recommending this paint but be vigilant as most damp contractors aren't as honest and will be knocking of your plaster and injecting walls if you let them.

Light Oak Wood Stain (K-X10)

Only just got round to using yesterday, but am very pleased with the result and know it will last having used Kingfisher products before

Prompt delivery (next day). 5 litre container was much lighter in weight than standard emulsion - must be the effect of all the microbeads. Easy to apply. Two coats have given a great finish. Only time will tell how effective it is in reducing condensation and mould!

High Hopes.

Mould on one Main Bedroom Wall behind Bed. Too early to tell if it works. Goes on well, I found it better with a roller than brush. Definitely requires two coats for best results. Colour Magnolia which was pleasing, not too yellowish. As said High Hopes as have tried other products but mould did return.

A good option for carrying out patch repairs to flat roof as very flexible and adaptable especially in damp conditions. One negative there are no clear directions particularly about cleaning brushes or tools, so I threw the brush away

The best you can buy!!

This really is the best masonry paint on the market. Fantastic coverage and so easy to apply. The Buttermere Beige is the perfect colour. More a soft white than the Brilliant White. Can't fault it for quality and appearance.

Lead restoration paint

Fantastic results at a good price. Used this to restore lead with brown staining. One coat worked a treat.

What a discovery

Am using this in the main bedroom. Can not report on its anti mould performance but it does alter the wall temperature so i have high hopes it lives up to its claims. Goes on a treat. Well impressed with it, shall be using it on the second bedroom. Price is similar to buying 5 litres of branded paint so this is the better deal. Colours used were Brilliant White, Tarn Hows Green ( very light mint green, ) Wild Foxglove ( raspberry ripple pink). Look good together.

There are cheaper products available in DIY stores, but I've tried them all on my crumbling bricks that nevertheless are a lovely feature in my kitchen, and this product from Kingfisher is the best. It's pretty much odourless (unlike most others) and it's dried wonderfully. The colours are enhanced in the brick, and you can tell they are really well sealed. I applied with a brush (rather than a spray) and it was easy. So easy I gave it two coats, even though I wasn't sure it needed it; It looked very good after only one. I've got lots and lots left over, so if I do need to re-apply then I've got plenty. But I can't see I'll need to in a long while.

Great Product.

Just a quick review to say how pleased I was with this product. I used it on a interior stone wall in our barn conversion, the mortar was crumbling and the stone looked dull. I sprayed it on using a normal household cleaner bottle with a trigger nozzle, quick and easy. The colour is lifted and looks beautiful, highlighting the different shades in the stone and the mortar 'stuck'. I would say the colour change is like if you washed the stone with water, only it stays that way.

Bought for our guest bedroom which had persistent mould problem - we must have repainted it 3 times in 5 years before trying Thermapaint. 9 months on the mould has not come back, wish we'd known about this product sooner!!!!

Anti-mould Paint

Excellent results from using the anti-mould paint on our interior living room walls. Always been susceptible to black mould spots but after several months no sign yet (and that's through welsh wet weather) of any recurrence. Highly recommended.

Garage dry!

For the first time my garage is actually dry, even after heavy rain! Wish i hadn't wasted so much time with bitumen coatings and damp proof paints over the years, this took longer but worked first time. Good advice and after sales support which i needed as hadn't done tanking before.

Used on quarry tile floor

I used this as part of the restoration of a (thick) black and red quarry tile floor. This was relaid from 19th Cent "earth and ashes" onto concrete/bitumen about 30 years ago, but was recently damaged by flooding from a defective freezer which had a "meltdown". I gave the floor an initial clean with soda crystals (alkaline), a domestic floor cleaner (fairly neutral) and then this product before removing the old grout. After regrouting and before sealing I gave it another blitz with this stuff and another round of the domestic cleaner. Came up a charm, and this stuff goes a surprisingly long way.

Amazing Finish

I recently jet washed my cul de sac's shared drive circa 150sq m, and was looking for a way to add colour back to the blocks as a finishing touch. The product did exactly that the drive now looks fantastic. It was good to walk on after a couple of hours and parkable after 6 hours. I would recommend two coats for a more even finish as one did give rise to some wet edging. Would definitely use again and recommend.

I used extreme climate on a property built of granite. We suffered damp patches internally I have to say the results are amazing and plan to use it again on other parts of the building.

OMG I have just used this brick sealer and am amazed at how good the result is. I removed the plaster from a wall last year and really couldn't believe anything would make it look and feel this excellent. I've only done one coat at the moment (got to wait 12 hours between coats) but already there is zero dust coming from the wall and it looks, well, just so professional and sleek. It make the bricks look more beautiful. A very slight matt sheen which I love, and not even a shade darker, the colour is great. It's made me want to expose more walls! Thank you! (I still can't believe there is no dust!)

Used this after cleaning down a large patio, two coats brushed on has provided a lovely sealed finish. Great product

Well worth it

Can seem expensive but 15kg goes a long way at 25mm deep and saves you from the usual 'pressure wash and re sand cycle'. Can leave a slight cement like film on the paving if you don't get the sprinkling of water just right but if you follow the instructions it turns into a grout and runs into the joints, just don't over water so it runs off the paving. A tip, on first opening the tub make the effort to mix the materials if you can see they have separated. All in all well worth it.

Great for black limestone

Turned white/grey limestone to deep black. I needed three coats. Easy to apply and looks great.

Nothing beats it!

We have a black imprinted driveway which was beautiful when we bought the house. Over the years, it has faded and weathered. Nothing has really helped to bring it back to life. Then we bought this! We are so impressed. So are our neighbours, so much so we are doing theirs for them next weekend. Would recommend to anyone 5*.

I bought this paint to protect and prolong life of my roof tiles. Very easy to apply, by brush and sprayer, excellent coverage and instantly made a difference to appearance of the roof/house. rained the next day and you could visibly see the protection and water barrier .. Ramp fix

Used this to stop people slipping on a concrete ramp that was just too smooth and slippery in we weather. Very sticky to use but sand really bonded to it and has roughened the surface enough to make safe again.

Excellent sealer that's simple to apply, hardest part is finding a day without rain for 8 hours! Applied with low pressure sprayer and completed job in no time. Does have a solvent odour for a couple of hours but not overbearing. Used on a tegula driveway and impressed with the result.

treating stonework

I purchased a sample of the Extreme Climate to test on my 1907 sandstone built house. The sandstone is prous and I'm getting water penetration around the chimney where the cavity is rubble-filled. On a lower part of the house, the solution seems to work well and so I'm intending to buy sufficient to treat both chimney stacks. I can't vouch for the longevity, of course, as yet. Ask me in 10 years time.

I had had very good comments from friends and neighbours liking the colour. The paint goes on well and i'm pleased with the result.

Interior Brick

Excellent product, easy to use, no smell, I treated a brick fireplace a few months ago and it as done the trick, no dust and with the matt finish it looks natural. I wish Kingfisher would do a smaller size, yes I would recommend this product.

Patio Surface Neutraliser

Have used the Biocidal Wash as a surface neutraliser on our 18 year old patio slabs. After cleaning we applied the bio wash before sealing with K-Seal. The patio looks the best it's been since it was laid and no signs of any moss or lichen returning.

Asbestos Coating Works Well!

Applied this coating to my very leaky asbestos roof a month ago. It is now water tight for the first time in years. Having worked with other more expensive coatings before, I find this one equally as effective.

First class product

We are renovating a building dating back to 1860. The gritstone lintels etc were flaking badly. After two coats of the sealer the stonework is looking brilliant and has stopped flaking. So Easy to use and lasts

I was bad, I left my cabin completely unprotected last year. I treated it the first year with this preservative and didn't bother last summer... Why? Because I didn't look like it needed it that much. Now I know that is not good practice and I should absolutely be doing this every single year, but my point is this stuff really works and it works well. Ease of application is right up there too. I have my window frames varnished (clear satin) to have a little bit of a distinction, then once dry, tape them up and spraying the entire cabin probably takes no more than half an hour. I can easily apply 2 or 3 coats in one day while seeing to other jobs. Absolute doddle. I wouldn't use anything else.

Superb result

I recently was asked to find a suitable exterior paint to cover a two story side wall exposed to the sea. After searching for an appropriate colour I opted for a text pot to try. This paint adhered to the smooth, semi-gloss exterior superbly. After ordering 40 litres and waiting for a couple of good weather days I set about painting the wall. Two coats and two days later the side wall was completed. I have received overwhelming positive comments on how the side wall appears and where did i get the paint from? I have no hesitation to recommend Kingfisher's excellent quality masonry paint.

Storm Desmond

After the damage left by Storm Desmond I have used Kingfisher Extreme Climate on my sandstone farmhouse in the spring 2016. We have had rain since the application and pleased to report the walls have remained dry and no longer have that wet look days later. Easy to apply and I have already recommended this product to my neighbours

Superb stuff.

After years of putting up with a limestone building that was built 120 yrs ago weeping damp (despite its 2 foot plus thickness) this has cured it in one hit. I had tried other products and even some old wives tales without success. Anyone who has a limestone house will know how porous they are illustrated by the fact after a heavy shower the stone go dark as the surface acts like a sponge. Once this goes on water just rolls off and colour stays the same as dry. I bought it mainly for the troublesome west facing wall and having done a trial I will do the whole house. Its the first time the wall has been light grey during the winter months. Don't be put off by the price the best stuff usually cost more but if it works plus it can be applied using a garden type sprayer. A winner.

I have used Ultimate Topcoat every year since we had an imprinted concrete drive laid over 10 years ago. Results have been consistently good and ordering/delivery well co ordinated. Not easy to source so v happy all round.

I am however pleasantly surprised with the results I have now purchased more for customer houses. based on results and if it continues to perform I would not have any problem recommending this to anyone.

Great stuff - DIY er

I had to peal all the previous masonary paint off, it had not bonded to the rendering and came off in sheets. I used this product first to stablise the suface, then used Weatherflex paint. The surface became rock hard for repainting and a year later no peeling or movement of the paint. I even tried to scrape the new paint off, but couldn't!

Extreme Climate

I've used the Extreme Climate on the south and west facing walls of my stone built farmhouse in West Wales. The house has been renovated in the last 12 months with the exterior walls being sand blasted and then re-pointed. After taking advice from the team at Kingfisher i made sure that the lime mortar we used had thoroughly dried out before applying the Extreme climate, which was brushed into the pointing with a 3" brush. It works very well, during the heavy rain we had on Sunday19th June, the rain just ran off, even though the wind was blowing directly onto the wall. Standing back it was obvious that the wall was not getting wet and it was dry, especially when compared to the stone walls on the adjoining sheds. I have no reservation about recommending the Extreme Climate.

Excellent Finish

We have used white Weatherflex on exposed external areas and have been delighted with the results. The colour is bright, almost blue-white and although it's early days, the flexible coating looks like it will last a long time. It appears much better already than other paints we have tried.

Stone wall

I sand blasted the end wall of my cottage before adding a single story extension. It was an original internal wall and had lime wash on it. The wall was then pointed up. The extension was built with lead flashings to the cottage. The first heavy rain soaked the wall went behind the flashings and came out inside the new extension and soaked the ceiling. I tried another well known sealer but it was just a waste of time and money. I spoke to a local damp proofing company with 40 years experience and they said I would have to spend a lot of money to cure it. After a bit of research I found this product extreme climate and gave it a try I had nothing to loose. What a shock I got it works fantasticly .I only treated the stonework above the extension. Every time I have a new visitor I show them how well it works by throwing a cup of water at it. The water falls of the stonework I treated and soaks in the stonework below which is not treated. every one is gob smacked. Every time it rains on my house I look at it and it looks as if the treated part as been covered up. Once I have completed all the work on the extension the whole of the cottage and extension will be treated. I would welcome any one to come and see how well it works.

First class roof paint.

This is a first class quality roof coating.I know that it was a little more expensive than others that i found on the internet, but well worth the choosing. My double garage roof ( cement fibre corrugated board ) has, after i cleaned and painted it , an as new appearance. It was easy to apply with a brush, it is non-drip, it flowed beautifully, looks good and is a lovely earth brown colour. I am well happy and my garage feels drier inside. A lot cheaper than a new roof and long lasting..

Easy to use

Ordered K-seal together with the bio-wash. All arrived in a couple of days. Simple to apply and the finish looks good. Early days yet to see how effective it will be but I have high hopes. A couple of neighbours have admired the finish and are waiting to see how will it lasts before applying it themselves.

Smooth Masonry Paint

I ordered 4 containers of the paint they arrived on time but one container was slightly damaged. I was able to affect a repair and very little paint was lost. I informed the customer service of this but received no response, additionally I informed them of the repair made but again no response- A touch disappointing. This is a shame because the paint is very good, covers well. Applying with a roller worked well for me. It remains to be seen how well it stays on in our exposed location but indication are good.

We used this in our garage as we had condensation on the ceiling. Fantastic coverage and you can feel the difference straight away. We're planning on using it in the bathroom as well. Would highly recommend this.

Best i've used

I PURCHASED THIS AFTER TRYING QUITE A FEW OTHERS ALL OF WHICH CAME OFF THE SURFACE WITHIN WEEKS. I APPLIED 2 COATS OF THIS AND EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE HAS HEAVY RAIN ITS STILL ALL INTACT. Having prepared the rendered surface first with the stabilising solution I applied the textured Weather flex paint.it has really covered well and I have every confidence it will do exactly what this manufacture says it will do.

I used this product to treat a large interior wall which had been grit blasted and re-pointed using hydraulic lime morter as defined under Listed Buildings Planning Conditions. The extremely porous hand made local Cambridgeshire brick are approximately 180 years old and typically not of uniform size or colour. This feature is typical of Tower Windmills in the area and one which needed to be retained on conversion and restoration. I found that thorough preparation using wire brushes followed by vacuum cleaning was essential. The uneven surface prevented efficient application by roller or spray. I found that a three inch brush was about right working from a paint tray and brushing in all directions to ensure penetration into cracks and uneven morter. It was necessary to mask off decorated woodwork to avoid staining and a second coat was necessary. Hard work but excellent result.

Used this in main bedroom that has 3 outside walls in spite of the walls having cavity insulation walls were always cold in winter and did suffer from very slight mould in places property built mid 30's room was painted earlier in the year so has not been through a full winter period after painting 2 coats did notice quite a difference in room temperature after application, used an infrared temp reader direct on walls before and after application and got a 2deg improvement after application so until the room goes through a full winter so far am well pleased with the results!!

I will give it a second coat before winter as my application lead to a few bubble holes in the finish which I wouldn't want to undermine in freezing condition, but that was on a fairly awful collection of walls. Used 20 X 10 litre pots on our place in Spain and now on our place in Wales. Great coverage, sun in Spain hasn't affected the colour after 3 years, rain in Wales just bounces off the textured type.

I've tried other wood stains from ronseal and cuprinol but none of them have the richness of colour that KX10 provides. Its a shame its not availble in more colours but that aside, its excellent. A must for anyone with pride in thier garden's appearence.

Works well on natural stone

We have natural decorative stone walls which were creating a lot of stone and mortar dust. We were keen not to change the appearance of the wall. The product has done the job very well and after a year or so still looks good.It may be a very small fraction darker but not noticeable. If there is no deterioration or discolouration in the long term then we will be very pleased.

Excellent stuff

I have been using this product for many years. I now use it in my property maintenance business prior to using masonry paint on walls and buildings. It has always given excellent results. Used it last year on my father in laws old cottage which had not been painted for 25 years. This property is on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall and gets some extreme weather. The paint looks superb with no re-growth of algae etc. Can't give it a better accolade than that.

Water plugging compound

We had a hairline crack in the render on the outside of the basement wall. I followed the instructions raking out the crack and filling this with the water plugging compound. It was a slow process, not necessarily because of the product but as always with leaks the water finds another area of least resistance to it so you end up applying more compound to a larger area. The product itself has worked and the leak has now stopped. I would view this as a temporary measure and will be looking to have the wall rendered with Kingfisher tanking slurry in the near future. The compound is probably easier to use and more immediately effective when plugging an actual hole in the render as opposed to a small hairline crack. The ordering process was very simple I ordered it on line on Sunday evening and it arrived on Tuesday as promised. I would be happy to use Kingfisher products again.

Can't recommend highly enough

I can't tell you how highly i recommend this product. For dust troublesome bricks on exposed walls, there is nothing better on the market. A must for anybody with this design feature in thier home.

Very Pleased with the result

The product was delivered the day after I placed the order - impressively quick. The brickwork I needed to seal is 50 years old and was producing large quantities of dust. It took three coats, rather than the two mentioned in the product description, to seal the brickwork completely but it did the job and I'm very pleased with the result.

Wish I'd found this earlier!

With the extreme weather we had in the early part of this year and December of last, I had a high number of customers who were suffering from water ingress. A few of these were down to penetrating damp along. As the walls were saturated we couldnt use solvent based repellents. With Storm Seals wet on wet application we were able to apply the treatment with quick results. On two properties we revisited within 48 hours, Water was beading on the surface. Wish Id found this product earlier! With regards to deliveries, My last order was extremely quick, same day.

Stopped Damp in its tracks

Due to the terrible weather we have had in cumbria, some houses were subjected to flooding and for those on higher ground like myself, it was driving penetrating damp that was the issue. After two coats of stormseal on my gable wall, applied during rain spells, the water began to bead on the surface and after a couple days, dampness stopped coming through the wall. Incredible product, does exactly what it says it would do.

Couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We have had a problem with dust on 3 exposed brick walls in our home for a few years, never quite finding the right solution after some failed attempts with other brands. One application of Kingfisher's Interior Brick/Dust Sealer, the problem has gone and the eroding bricks are now stable and we can walk past without being covered in red dust. Thanks for the excellent advice! We'll be back!

Damp wall repair

Used this last summer to fix a damp problem in our front room which my mate, a plasterer said was rising damp. Job turned out a bit more involved than I thought but the kit had everything in except for plaster. we drilled the holes outside and injected the paste which is quite simple when you get the hang of it - we taped the drill bit at 7inches so as not to go right through the double brick. That is the easy bit we had to chisle damp plaster inside and skirtings were rotten also! Used their special Kingfisher plaster which again my mate recommended. Seems to have cured the damp so far so good!

Bay window leak

Bought this as a last resort to stop damp leaking through sandstone lintels above bay window in our front room. House is quite exposed and I was a bit sceptical about painting it onto a damp surface but it went on ok and it has stopped the damp.

Bought this to combat persistent mold growth around a window. Used their mold treatment cleaner, then painted with the emulsion mixed with additive. Absolutely no re-growth. Great! It's survived a year now without any signs, and that's good enough for me. An untreated window that I just cleaned and painted without kingfisher products is suffering from regrowth so I am back to buy some more!

Decking Oil (Deck5)

We recently purchased this decking oil and have to say it is the best product we have come across. Over the past 4 years we have used a variety of well known Brand decking products sold in all DIY stores, all of which promised good long lasting results, nothing could be further from the truth. However, the Kingfisher Decking Oil was brilliant. The delivery was excellent and was delivered within 48 hours of ordering. Once we had pressure washed the decking we applied the decking oil by using an everyday household soft broom, which applying two coats, took us about 4 hours in total and followed the instructions to the letter and have to say the decking having dried after 48 hours looks fantastic and like new, the natural wood shows through and is the best we have seen it. This is truly an oil which penetrates the wood. Brilliant. Thank you Kingfisher for a remarkable product. Yes, you guessed it we will be buying this product in future years.

Only thing that's worked

I've had problems with damp and mould spots on exterior walls. No amount of cleaning, repainting (or pretending it didn't exist!) would cure the problem. This paint not only stops the reappearance of mould spots, it warms the wall slightly and gives good coverage, 1 coat looks like 2. Get it and stop the mould battle.

Good Product

Buying more of this paint as it actually works! The thermal qualities raise the wall temperature by enough to stop condensation and the resultant mould. I would love to see some really strong heritage colours as well, please!

Restore a drive.

This product really does all that is claimed. Easy to apply, covers well, and makes slabs or a driveway look new. I have had lots of positive comments about my paths and patio!

Decking oil

I have used numerous well known decking oils which over time have proved to be useless. This oil is idea land gives a great finish. I wish I had known about this type of oil compared to the oils which leave a micro film layer before I ever sealed my decking. Would highly recommended this product on new decking and will buy again.

Dusty bricks!

We are converting a Victorian warehouse and wanted to make a character feature of the original internal brick walls so we needed a sealer. Good product advice and the sealer stopped the red dust problem! Would recommend.

First Class Product

We purchased a stone house with a three-storey high pine end that was exposed to the driving rain. I have known the house for almost 60 years and for as long as I can remember, the pine end has suffered a problem with water ingress. It has been treated with numerous blue circle products, masonry paints, cement based coatings, bitumen coatings etc., but nothing ever worked. It had got so bad that the wooden floors abutting the pine end had been replaced at least twice because of the problem. Last year we picked out the pointing and sandblasted all the coatings off. The house was then repointed using hydraulic lime based mortar. With the first prolonged spell of driving rain, the water was actually running down the insides of the walls and destroyed all our decorating/carpeting etc. As soon as the wall was reasonably dry, we coated it with Extreme Climate. The result was amazing. For the first time in my lifetime the inside wall was totally dry during rain. What is more, so was the outside - it remained light coloured whilst the rest of the house absorbed the rain and turned a darker colour. The rain simply gathers in globules and runs off the outside. Extreme Climate

To date, I've only coated the south and west facing sides of my house, but to say the result has been a first class job, is an understatement. You can see a notable difference when it rains, as the water runs off rapidly on both coated sides, whilst not so with the rest of the building. And after any rainfall, the brick/ mortar on the coated sides are dry and look lighter in colour, whilst the uncoated walls remain wet and dark looking. And the biggest bonus, no more damp has in the inside of the house. The only down side is the smell from the sealer when spraying, so purchase a good mask. Genuinely a great product.

Stone Patio

Made a remarkable difference to some very green sandstone flags, in conjunction with a domestic pressure washer. Has brought the patio into a 'as new'' condition and hopeful it will stay that way now.

Product good- coverage poor

If using white Thermapaint over another colour suggest killing other colour off with the same colour as the thermapaint - IE if using Brilliant white, first use a standard white emulsion. I bought this paint for the thermal properties only and on this basis is a good product. I have used kingfisher products for everything and have never had a problem. I have used over 60 litres of paint as the product required a build up of coats to get the required effect and to stop the paint from grinning.

Excellent stuff. Much more effective than conventional waterproofing products based on silicone. Completely cured problems of damp penetration from a chimney stack saving the need to rebuild it with a new damp proof tray.

K-Seal Total

This was recommended by a neighbour "in the know", and proved every bit as good as he suggested. It went down quickly and easily with the application kit also provided by Kingfisher. It was absorbed at a greater rate than I expected, but this was on blocks with fairly large gaps, so probably had more sand to absorb the sealer. Therefore, the drive got only a single coat, and there was a heavy dew the following night, but nonetheless it looks good and has obviously done a good job, as six months later there is not a sign of a weed. I'm impressed.

Good result

I've not used other products but can confirm this does the job well. We had water pouring though a single skin garage wall that had become saturated during the winter storms. A single treatment of this cured the problem. Now intend to buy some more to do the house.

The Best

I have an attic and had problems with damp patches and trickles of water going down the wall, i had tried loads of paints and damp paints that nearly worked but the damp patches were still there. So i thought id give this ago . its been at least 8 months and ive had no damp patched appear at all , i highly recommend this and will def use this paint again :) my wall looks great i used Magnolia as it was the closest to the light yelllow paint i have on my bedroom attic walls :)

Highly Effective

Used in an apartment which was suffering from condensation and the mould was easy to eradicate. Quick to apply. Also used it to remove green algae growing on the soft top roof of my Mazda MX5. The roof is as good as new.

Extreme climate 1st impression

Treated a rubble filled permeable wall and it appears to work as expected but still to be tested with a wet south westerly wind which will be great if it protects from this. I used the biocide before using Extreme Climate.

I had a big crack on my asdetos garage roof. Kingfisher recommended I use this with their Fibreseal. Worked a treat. Godd product and good advice.

Lead Oil

I was recommended this by a friend several months ago. It enhanced the colour of the new lead and it still looks as good today as it did 5 months ago. Highly recommended.

This is a very good product. Used it to stick down some old flashing. Worked as described.

Sticks anything

Excellent! Ive used this on quite few things around the house. Used it on bath panel, light fitting, and even on panes of glass in the green house, and is rock solid when it dried.

Solvent 2

This does as it says on tin. Had a few issues with patio sealer and this softens the sealer and allows you to re-work it. Would be handier in a smaller size though.

Super stuff!

Treated one wall about this time last year, soft Suffolk red brick. Rooms noticeably warmer. No change of brick colour.Tested last week, still chucks the water off, fascinating to see, very impressed. Just treated another wall after repointing and intend to do rest of the house.

Asbestos kit

Brilliant value, just finished the final coats of the roof coating. Its a long process but has cost me £100 rather than 1800 quoted for removal and a new roof. The sealent is a gret bit of kit and the final quote brushes on a treat. The finish is fantastic and the roof looks brand new!

Roof Paint

Followed all the instructions for application and it's turned out brilliant !!!(terracotta Clay). My house stands out the moment I turn into my street. I even had someone round the corner ask who did the work, so the bottom line is I most probably will be ordering more paint from you shortly. By the way also bought the garage kit at same time. Would not hesitate to highly recomend your products to anyone. Delivery spot-on aswell.

Very impressed with Weatherflex. Excellent covering ability with only one coat required on a badly stained wall. Easy to apply with either a brush or roller. Finished surface looks as if it will be long lasting. No hesitation in recommending this product having used other makes.

Great Service!

I bought this machine a few months ago, used it once (great machine!)and then stored it. When I went to use it again -no suction. To cut a long story short I hadn't cleaned it properly and had caused a blockage. I called Kingfisher and their associate engineers then spent the best part of 2 hours on the line helping me to fault find until we found and fixed the problem. Can't thank them enough as most suppliers would have just shrugged shoulders and left me in the s**t!

Kingfisher paving sealer

We applied this product to our block paved driveway and it looks great - sheen but not too glossy. Also gave helpful advice before buying product.

Excellent sealer

I had been looking for a good quality sealer for our stamped concrete drive. Previous applications of the cheaper milky white stuff were unsuccessful so I wanted to check the Kingfisher Imprintseal was compatible with what we already have and "Kingfisher" was the only supplier who seemed able to give me tester to check first. The finished drive is a vast improvement. Helpful service.

I bought this cleaner to clean up my flagstone terrace which it did pretty well but you need to be careful when using it as it is very strong stuff.

Soft concrete saved!

We poured a new concrete floor in part of our workshop a few months ago but I think the mix must have been a bit weak because it started to become really dusty almost straight away. Kingfisher recommended Ultimate Topcoat and since applying it the floor has hardened up and there is no dust whatsoever. A cheap solution to an expensive problem as the dust was getting into everything. Would definitely recommend.

Mould problem solved!

We have mould growing around the window reveals in our bedroom for some time and all attempts to arrest its progress have failed -until I tried the Kingfisher paint. 100% success so far (3 months)

Kingfisher works

We have an old sandstone boundary wall which is about 6 feet high and runs the length of our garden. It always has thick moss growing on it even though I wire brush it every year so I tried this - really effective - turns the moss brown in about 5 days!

Concrete sealer

Bought this for our dusty workshop floor. 25L did over 100 square m. Dries really quickly so we were able to do it in sections without moving everything outside. Excellent product and almost no smell.

Damp course cream

Followed the how to guide on the website - injecting the wall was pretty straight forward but wasn't sure about re-plastering so rang kingfisher. They spent quite a bit of time with me explaining it all so we got it right - v helpful tech support.

Stabilising primer

Definitely recommend this before painting rough flaky walls - makes the paint go a lot further.

Weatherflex exterior

I had never used this brand before so didn't know what to expect but it rollers on easily enough and is a thick creamy consistency. Good colour range - the Coniston slate suits our cills really well.

Tanking works!

Our basement has always been damp an was getting steadily wetter so decided to dry it out and tank it properly having tried various other measures unsuccessfully. Technical advice from Kingfisher was to use their Aquatech product which actually comprises several parts so a bit more to this than just painting stuff on the wall. Having said that there is plenty info and our builder seemed to manage ok - and basement finally dry!

Harris Premium Masonry Roller

This is a brilliant roller for masonry. I had started the job with a cheapo one but it was a waste of time - I found the longer pile of this one makes a HUGE difference when painting a large area.

Good product

Seems to have covered well and being slightly textured has hidden a few minor flaws in the plaster. Colour Ambleside Blossom good and light. Weather better - so big test next winter.

K-Seal kit

Helpful advice line and prompt delivery. Everything I needed was in the kit and the driveway looks back to new again.

Damp Garage

Damp has always been a problem in our garage as one end has the garden piled against it 3 feet deep! This product (plus the anti-salt stuff) has stopped the leaks and the wall is less prone to condensation. Is quite thick to apply though...

Excellent product - we were thinking of ripping up the old faded paving when we moved into this house but found this instead. What a difference!

Asbestos sealer

I applied this to parts of our garage roof after cleaning off the moss. It is really easy to use (quite thin) and seemed to make it easier to brush on the "asbestos roof coating" which was also in the kit I bought.

Epoxy paint for workshop

We applied this to our fleet workshop floor in November and it is a huge improvement over the old floor paint which always flaked off (still looks good 6 months on). Not cheap but seems to be much tougher and doesn't go soft when petrol or brake fluid spills on it. Prompt delivery and good technical advice. Now applying to our despatch area.

Dr-wall inj cream

Wasn't sure I could tackle this myself as I have never done any damp proofing before but found the web site had step by step guide and useful helpline. I did most of ground floor and was a lot of drilling including a bay window so got a mate to re-plaster using the Kingfisher plaster. The cream is really easy to use and you can see it gradually seeping along the mortar (gets darker). 2 words of advice - if you don't already have one, buy a decent drill and get someone handy with a trowel to do the re-plastering!

Small test pots are good to assist in choosing a colour. Applied app 100ltrs of earth brown in June 2012 to renovate my roof, followed the preparation instructions carefully as the concrete tiles had 30+years of moss. Good technical advice given when sought, still looks as good as when applied. Would recommend the product ! Excellent delivery.

Asbestos Roof Coating

I bought this product in the kit format, with moss killers and primer. I treated and coated an asbestos roof in my garden shed that i share with my neighbor.At the end both of us were very pleased with the results, the roof is now safer as the coating provide good encapsulation and it looks nice too. The job was carried about 1 year ago and the coating looks still as a new.

Roof Coatings

We got 3 testers and chose the dark terracotta and the finished roof looks excellent. Kingfisher recommended spraying but we used brushes and still got a really good finish, although it is a big job.

I hadn't used Weatherflex before so wasn't sure what to expect but it was very easy to work with and rollered on well to our dashed walls. The finished house in Lakeland Blue is very striking and a huge improvement!
